It all started in January 2019, when Mara posted on Snapchat one night that she wanted some snacks. Tristan answered the call, and somewhere between the snacks and his smile, they quickly realized they had a lot more in common than they ever knew.

Since then, Mara and Tristan have grown up together and shared some of life’s biggest moments along the way. From celebrating sports victories and high school graduations to college graduations, starting their careers, and everything in between, they’ve been by each other’s side through it all.

Six years later, on the Fourth of July in 2025, Tristan had something a little bigger planned. Under a starry sky—and with a custom fireworks show just for Mara—he proposed. Of course, Mara said “YES!”

Now, eight years after it all began with a Snapchat and some snacks, Mara and Tristan are counting down the days until June 19, 2027, when they officially start their next chapter together.

They’re incredibly thankful for the family and friends who have been part of their story so far, and they can’t wait to celebrate with everyone in June!

And to think… all of this because Mara wanted some snacks.
